      Hi there,
Thanks for taking the time to read my quick email, I know you are all busy with a million things, so I do appreciate the 30 seconds you spend reading this :) .

When are we going to overturn the pit bull ban? How do I advocate for that in the most helpful way? I have had pits and pit mixes my whole life, and work fostering dogs with two separate rescue groups currently. I cannot take one more day of going into a shelter, and the shelter staff telling us I can’t rescue certain pups b/c they might be mixed with pit and will for sure be put down. Its just such a waste, and so unfair. Makes me sick to my stomach every time. My family has had pix mixes since I was a kid, and it really does turn to the owner to raise them right. Its not their fault, and they can be AMAZING pups if raised well from the start. Can we at least start by lifting the restriction on puppies!? They are so innocent and eager to please, can’t we please come to an agreement that the new pups can be rescued and trained right from the start? There has to be some compromise, right? I challenge you, foster a pix or pit mix puppy for a couple weeks, see how you feel about them, and then make that decision based solely on your own experience. No of us breed advocates tainting opinions. Take one into your home, and come to your own conclusion. I don’t expect you will do this of course, but it would be AMAZING if you cared enough to find out for yourself first hand. Please, so many are put down daily without even an evaluation!! Most of these dogs are wonderful and just want to give love. PLEASE!
